So to get me thinking about acidification and to just become more conscious of pH levels, I started testing the pH level of everything I drank for the past week with pH strips. Here are the results:
I also started thinking about why I wanted to create this circuit. I decided that citizen science is an important movement, and is a great way to shed some light on the facts to the public. It makes the world around us clearer and renews our sense of curiosity. Also, understanding our planet brings knowledge. And knowledge is one of the components the public needs to cope with the Anthropocene.
I met with Eric Rosenthal to discuss my circuit and decided it might be more interesting to build my own pH sensor then to simply buy one. If I truly want to create a project that brings science to our citizens, then I need something that can be totally DIY. More updates to come!
